PRESIDENT:

The Saudi  Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) is one of the scientific assembly affiliated to King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences that seeks to develop the practice of occupational therapy in both scientific and clinical levels for all practitioners.  Along with the scientific and social contribution  in keeping with the evolving development of Vision 2030 for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Board members is keen with all practitioners to sensitize the community on the role of occupational therapy and provide standardized services to help overcome social and physical barriers of persons with disabilities and create an appropriate environment for them where they can live the optimal experience of ordinary individuals in various occasions. SOTA is also responsible   in providing and evaluating the scientific approaches that adapted by  practitioners to advocate or working with  individuals and organizations within the context of disability. This includes initiating training workshops, establishing scientific and practical symposiums in addition to organizing annual conferences in cooperation with partners from various scientific and professional associations, government institutions and rehabilitation centers, which in turn increase the recognition of  the vital role of occupational therapy in serving individuals and communities.

 SOTA attaches great importance to  prompt the diversification of clinical approaches and  specialties and the multiplicity of learning resources and opportunities in the field of occupational therapy  by attracting international and local speakers, holding workshops, seminars and training for all practitioners, interns and students.

SOTA is also interested in embracing occupational therapy community from practitioners, interns and students under its umbrella for the Interest of the profession development.
